All of us experience stress. The reason could be personal, social and/or etc. The definition of psychological stress is the emotional experience when an individual conquers a situation in which a demand goes beyond his or her coping resources. According to (Lasaruz, 1999) stress is the anxious or threatening feeling that comes when we interpret a situation as being more than our psychological resources can handle. In some research, stress often occurs during late adolescence or early adulthood (Pine, 2000). Probably, there are ways where stress is actually good for us. For example, it is normal for college students to be stressed. Stress shows that a student cares about his studies. Stress here affects us in a way of being motivated to do things appropriately. On the other hand, the negative effect of it is it causes undesirable behavior like panicking and also the …show more content…
“If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment, live in the breath.” (Amit Ray, 2010). Another one, “Learn to say no to commands, requests, invitations, and activities that leave you with no time for yourself. Until I learn to say no, and mean it, I was always overloaded by stress. You may feel guilty or selfish at first for guarding your down-time. But you’ll soon find that you are a much nicer, more present and more productive in each instance you do choose to say yes.” (Holly Mosier, 2011). As we continue, there are several ways we can do to widen the capacity of taking stress. First, you should have a positive attitude. Accept that although you can’t control certain things, you’re in charge of how you’d respond. Stand up for yourself in a polite way. Share your feelings, opinions or beliefs instead of being angry. Also, try to manage your time wisely. Say no to things that will add more stress to your life. Consider yourself to make time for your hobbies and interests. Moreover, get enough rest and sleep. Lastly, spend time with your love
