Bancroft's Positive Effects On The Environment

Today we have some major problems on this earth having global warming and lack of trees because of all the paper used today. Bancroft is trying their best to have a positive effect on the environment but their best isn’t good enough. I believe that Bancroft middle school has a mostly negative effect on the environment.
First of all our school wastes a lot of materials. To clarify students waste paper and food everyday, also teachers waster electricity to power the classroom. For example everyday I see all my teachers using their lights and projectors to teach just like they are right now. By this I mean the waste of materials not only costs a lot of money but it also makes more fossil fuels like coal, oil, and natural gas which is bad for the environment. Another example is everyday I see students use a lot of paper each day for their class work which is bad for our trees. What this means is that four billion trees are cut down in a year worldwide and we are part of the problem not the solution. To clarify we have heaters that produce Co2 when they heat up the classroom and we also have cars and buses that also produce a lot of Co2. In the video Teachers Tv Climate Change by Teachers Tv it states humans waste seven gigatons of carbon dioxide a year! To clarify we contribute to that seven gigatons of Co2. The video also states that is the climate keeps getting hotter due to all the carbon dioxide it can lead the polar ice caps to melt completely leaving animals without a home and major floods on coastal states. What I’m trying to show is that we at Bancroft are also contributing to what could eventually be the end of human life. As you now know Bancrofts Co2 emissions can lead to terrible terrible things like the death of arctic animals such as polar bears, arctic foxes, etc and just maybe human
