Throughout the Bible we see God create new covenants with his people. In Jeremiah 31 we see God renew the covenant with the prophet Jeremiah. This new covenant can never be broken, which makes this covenant different from the others covenants. It also allows His people to be able to have a real relationship with God. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people”. With this new covenant the people won’t be external and a fake relationship, this time it will be internal and real. This true relationship with his people will not and cannot be broken. In…

Brave New World is one of the most well-known dystopian fiction novels, perhaps falling short only of Orwell’s Animal Farm and 1984. Its nature, however, differs greatly from that of Orwell’s works. Unlike those dystopian novels which focus on a society in which culture is suppressed and society is lead by a strong man, Brave New World envisages a society in which people have actively forgone the creative elements of culture in the name of efficiency. Since the book was published, there is a…

Forty-eight years ago today, in the year of 1969, the people of Papua New Guinea were still using stone tools. Whereas, families in the U.S. were watching on television as their countryman were landing on the moon. I may seem like a quiet person or in other words a shy person. But in no way is that true , I used to be the person who wanted to meet everyone. Many incidents in life have caused me to wait for the monster in a person to come out before attempting to establish a relationship. I have hurt many people this way I can only love those who I know and trust. My main source of distrust and dislike of new people is because of a man named Donny Jordan and the night I almost got my family killed. …

odour of fried food engulfed my senses. It made me feel nauseous, great start ! I wished I was back home with all it's familiarity and the delicious smell of my mum’s highly scented candles. Eventually later that day I arrived in Grimsby, I thought the day could not get any worse; I was confronted by the same bleak and grey weather i had left behind in Aberdeen. The town seemed desolate and wretched, a few old people trudged out of the station looking miserable. There was barely a soul in the…

you would have an A. If you got tired before you even started and didn't do it you would have a F. If everyone quit when they got tired we wouldn't have the things we have today. Such as phones, internet, social media, or television. I am sure that the people who created these things got tired of trying but they preserved and achieved their goals. Even if what you are doing isn't as grand as the things listed know that your goals are just that yours. This leads me to my next point, no one is…

But passenger lists used to be very important when it came to people immigrating to the new world. The following two passenger lists—one for England and one for Virginia—provide an indication of the different types of people who came to the two colonies. These passenger lists tell a lot more than the amount of people who entered and exited board these ships. These lists often…

Breaking News: Media Negatively Impacts People When I was younger, I stood on my tippy toes to reach the top of the television while stretching my arms up to put the VHS tape into the player. This massive TV was at least five feet tall and three feet wide with a big screen. My parents proudly placed it in the corner and moved all the furniture in a semicircle around it. When flat screens came along, we hauled the huge one down to the curb and replaced it with one that gave us more room,…
