There aren't that many athletes in the top list until they changed it later on. Probably changed in it because no one knew who most of the people on the list were.

Luxury suites and boxes replicate the who the dominate people in sports are. Mostly white people with money. hence changes to the NBA dress code and music etc.

What are the 5(6)? myths of social mobility?
1. Sports provides a free education (Very few college athletes receive completely full educations)
2. Sport leads to a college degree (very few male athletes in the big time sports do not finish with college degrees)
3. Sports career is probable (all stats are down and not in the favor of this. 2/3 of african american males between 13 and 18 believe they can earn a living playing professional sports. African american parents were 4 times more likely than white parents to believe that their sons are destined for careers as pro athletes.)
4. Sport is a way out of poverty (the rates are astronomically low that you have a better chance of getting hit by a meteorite)
5. Women have sports as vehicle for social mobility (women have fewer opportunities than men in professional sports. and often make far less money than men do.)
6. Sport provides lifelong security (sport careers don't last that long. team sport is 5 years. They have put so much into their athletic identity that they do not have anything else to fall back on. Often don't have a college degree.)
Does sport participation lead to upward mobility?
It can. if they develop (skills outside of athletics)
