Yum Kippur is one of the holiest days in Judaism. During Yum Kippur in 1973 the Arab coalition bombed occupied territories of Islam, this bombing also involved the Soviet Union and America. The two superpowers were allies of either the Arab coalition (Soviets) or Israel (America). The two “Nuclear Superpowers” didn’t get involved physically but watched over each other. President Nixon actually went to congress to send emergency aid to Israel in efforts to aid their Jewish state ally. There are many songs in Israel for this holiday, Al Kol Eleh, Bashana HaBa'ah, Hatikva, Come with Me and Eretz Yisrael. Majority of these song lyrics preach the protection and appreciation of the singers native country. These songs all show a pure form of nationalism and give a feeling of home and love to the residents of Israel in the song.
