Web Presence To businesses, web presence refers to the appearance of the company on the Internet. According to Newtek, a study was done amongst 1050 small businesses with less than 50 employees. The study revealed that most small businesses understood the importance of an appealing website, but they decided to host themselves on social media instead. Businesses aren’t maximizing the benefits of having an impactful web presence because they only opt to use social media (2013).
