In the beginning, the emergency plan for mass casualty incidents are triggered by reports of an upcoming hurricane. It is then followed by the actual implementation and carrying out of the plan. Accordingly, the most efficient strategy for this kind of event is the triage plan. In detail, the triage nurse and triage officer will assign triage categories to all patients. These are as follows: (a)Green- for patients with minor injuries and can wait for the right treatment; (b)Yellow- patients who are relatively stable but needs added medical attention; (c)Red- patients who are in a critical condition and needs a life-saving care; (d)Black- deceased patients.
