It involved itself in bribery while operating in China. Reports showed that a few employees were told to give bribes of up to $400 to some officials of the country to make them increase the prices of some medical products that were being sold in the country, (Hirschler, 2013). Unethical conducts were observed mainly in the situation that this company charged patients who went for treatments that could save their lives. The managers of the company in China were greedy for money, and that is why they bribed the officials. The secrecy of their operations was adversely affected. Being a publicly traded company, the company should not have engaged in such high-risk activities that affected the lives of the patients. The organizations should set very active codes of ethics to govern their operations in these environments. The employees should always be put on the forefront to ensure that they create food images of these organizations. Mentorship, volunteer, works, and involvement in community matters ensure that the businesses are socially responsible to the community.
