authority to enable and make things happen.

Prayer itself is an enabler, it makes things possible. When you are in a crisis and God speaks to you, you have to enable what you have heard from Him by opening your mouth and decreeing it. That was you are releasing it to come to pass. Example: if you are going for an interview and God spoke to you that the job is yours or the tender is yours, you still need to speak it to being, that way you are releasing the word so it can come to pass.

Prayer Point:
1. Father, trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle, In Jesus Name. Psalms 144:1
2. Put your words in my mouth fire to destroy the works of satan as I advance in this battle, In Jesus Name Jeremiah 5:14
3. Father, give me a godly character so that can fight to win, in Jesus name.
4. Lord, give me a heart like yours, full of love, patience, compassion, In Jesus name.
5. Lord, help me to be who you created me to be so that I can accomplish my calling in Jesus Name.

There is nothing depressing when you know you were a prayerful person and all of a sudden you no longer read the bible or even pray. The yoyo spirit in a Christian‘s life is the most dangerous thing and a place you can ever be in. Prayerlessness happens not only because you don’t have time but it could be that you are dealing with spirits that you are not even aware of like anti-praying forces. For most us black people, we used to pray to the dead, so the ancestral spirit are in conflict with our spirit and making us lazy to pray, in the kingdom of darkness you get things easy but in the kingdom of light you get things according to the will of God. Adjusting to the fact that now someone is in control of you can be difficult and more over knowing

My chosen quote for my prayer experience is Catherine McAuley’s “Prayer is a plant the seed of which is sown in the heart of every Christian, but its growth entirely depends on the care we take to nourish it.” The values that I have decided to take from this quote are that of growth, care of others and self, and reflection of actions. These values link directly to the quote, as they all discuss the concept of self-growth, through ‘nourishing’ spirituality and helping others. The aim of my religious prayer experience is for my audience to understand way in which they can grow their spirituality and reflect on how they have done this in the past. I have used a combination of scripture references, quotes and prayers to create a sense of connectedness and awareness of God.…

I was beginning to get nervous. Bobby Joe was on his knees praying, George had just called and said he was on his way over, and it finally had hit me that I was getting into something much larger than I’d originally thought. Let me be blunt, I’m not a great Christian. I try to live a good life, I don’t drink much and never get drunk, and I’ll profess that I believe the Lord is my savior and died for my sins. Besides that, my logic takes over and I question too many things.…

Let me start by offering a little prayer that I say a lot and has been very helpful to me. It is called the serenity prayer. I’m not here to discuss your religious beliefs, but it is a prayer that I use as a way of reminding myself I can’t control everything nor should I try. Trying to control people, places and things will probably only lead to frustration and unhappiness. Try saying it once with me, God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.…

Introduction into this book and videos covers how we need to set long term goals, but before doing so we need to ask ourselves some questions. Before we can set those goals we should seek to know Christ. This can be done by reading the four gospels and seeing what Jesus did, what we can learn from him, and how does it relate to us? Jesus’ last commandment was to go and make disciples, and while principles never change, our methods have to change in order to reach the current generation, and each beyond. As we get into the chapters we learn that men are God’s method and while they may seem unlearned or ignorant by man’s standards, God uses those willing to learn and raises them into leadership.…
