I even altered my education to accommodate my vigorous schedule. Little did I know that the next step in my life as a skater was about to be a step towards becoming an adult. My education at the age of 12 was about to incorporate aspects of a college

“Cameron, it’s time to get up,” Mom said in a mocking higher pitched voice. I thought there was no way that Summer could’ve ended so fast. The morning started with me getting woken up by my mom who made breakfast followed by waiting for my brother to get out of the shower. As teenagers growing up in Powder Springs, Georgia during the 1980’s, it was somewhat challenging at times to find safe and entertaining ways to occupy our time. Even though we did not have free reign to do as we chose, I would not categorize my parents as extremely strict. Relying on our parents, as if they were our personal taxi service, my sister and I struggled to find activities relatively close to home. After discovering we really enjoyed skating, we spent countless Friday and Saturday nights at the Sparkles Skating Rink in Paulding County. The indoor facility was a safe environment for teenagers, which provided my parents with a certain level of comfort to allow us to gather with friends.…

I also think it is an important event not many know about even skaters older than 18. I also think that it is important to remember how many we have lost from a single plane crash; 73 people had died because of this crash and one of them wasn’t even on the plane so its important to rember that one plane killed all of the united states figure skating Olympic team that includes singles skating women’s singles skating men’s pairs skating and dance and there coaches there are 3 to 5 people on each team and all of them had coaches that died in the crash. That’s crazy to think of I also think that this is a topic that should be studied and known more about not just in the united states but all over because it could happen to them unlikely because planes are built differently now but. One man felt guilty because he got sick last moment and had to stay home and have a younger skater go in his place. Over all I hope you enjoyed reading about this topic and I feel about it its vary important that you know 73 people died because of this crash and the skaters were mostly under 18 years of age before I learned about this I knew vary little about it…
