During my second year of ECA, I was placed in EMU College classes. During this time I was exposed to an environment in which I was interacting with adults in a classroom setting, versus being in school with students in my age group. I often times was surprised when people discovered I was a teenager taking College courses. This carried an expectation that I was inherently smarter than the average teenager. This experience motivated me to want to accele in my classes, eventually landing me on the Dean’s List. …show more content…
One of the most impactful moments of my young College experience was the result of one of my College Professors. She grew up where there was very little diversity, moved to Ypsilanti, Michigan at the young age of seven-teen, where she first experienced diversity.
