From freshman to seniors the members of the group saw me as an improvement from what was previously given to them and, therefore, welcomed my new position with great acceptance. I did my best to be the best. Looking to never put down, but encourage my fellow saxophones, I strived for us to help the marching band in our efforts to become victorious at our competitions. There become a noticeable difference from the section before and after my guidance. The members had more energy and fire when it came to wanting to learn and improve. I rewarded the members who had shown the most dedication or improvement during a one week period of rehearsals with a bag containing goodies. This was a tradition for the marching band, one that the past leaders had neglected to follow. I felt that this tradition should not be pushed aside, especially since it helped to encourage success and effort. With this in mind, I gave the section what they wanted. All they looked for was someone to follow and trust. I attempted to do so through means of respect, patience, and reward, and feel that the setback paid off in the
