Hunger Games Satire

Gigantic The Hunger Games. A horrible, deadly, despised, yearly event that put 18 tributes up against each other. There were bloody battles, sanity lost screams and dehydrated corpses. I was the unlucky camper this year. Created by the capital, I was a human-like bull named Lord Knossos. Apparently I was supposed to be a warlord, conquering lands for my people. I don't have people, I haven't even seen anyone remotely similar to me. My stature was very buff, with a large upper body and small legs, I could knock out a human in one hit. But enough about me, I have a battle to win. The platform uplifted me towards the light, where my death would be imminent. As the light reached my eyes, I was immediately greeted with old ruins, statues of giant …show more content…
But the pictures just kept coming, picture after picture. Then I could only think that I was going to win. I could leave this place, go home, be a winner, do something with my life. My life… By day monstrous steps headed my way. A gigantic man covered in black armor and a massive hand covered in what looked like lava. This time I was ready. When I was attacked I dodged and swung my spears. The spears only left dents. The black armored knight only laughed and glared at me hungrily. He attacked again but he was still as slow as ever. I could predict and dodge the blows before they were close to hitting me. I rammed the knight with my horns and surprisingly flinged him up into the air. He smashed into the ground leaving a large crater in the already cracking ground. Pieces of armor flinged into the walls, as he arose for another wave of attacks I saw his weaks points. After every swing of his hand I attacked his gaps of armor, leaving slashes in his massive body. Then out of nowhere a golden aura surrounded him, shouting he smashed both massive hands into the ground. The knight sent seismic waves into the earth that hit me full force. It knocked the air out of me and I swear I heard a few bones break. Rage engulfed me, and I was engulfed by that same golden aura. I screamed as I released all my energy into my hands. The next thing I knew the knight in black armor was dead, stabbed with as many as 20 spears. The trumpets blared as I was crowned the

They fought in extremely heavy armour that weighed up to 50 pounds. Medieval knights fought with plenty technique. Most fights were extremely brutal and lasted only 20 to 30 seconds if equally matched. If one fighter was evidently more experienced than the other, bouts would last as short as 10 seconds. Long swords were used and often broke the armour and led to cutting the skin ending the battle.…

Jolts were shot up my spine as the horse increased speed. The French infantry turned their helmeted heads towards my retinue and I as they heard the heavy hooves. I could feel their apprehension as I charged, they had no formation, and a lot of them would die. As I reached the first struggling knight my lance crushed his chest plate, and he crumbled to the ground. Likewise the other men of my retinue killed the infantry in the same way.…

Knights had great physical ability. To wear fifty pounds of armour takes great strength. However, to fight in that fifty pounds of armour, takes even greater strength. Strength is shown in the “Green Knight,” by both Gawain and the Green Knight when they are taking each other's blows. To stand still while another person swings a weapon at you, is unremarkable.…

Additionally, despite the fear of what was to come, I stood firm and resilient, taking the situation at hand head-on. Furthermore, my bravery was evident when I took the challenge without a second thought, showcasing a deep-rooted belief in the values of knighthood and loyalty. However, I did struggle with moments of weakness and doubt. The fear of death when arriving at the Green Chapel exposed some of my vulnerabilities, like when I flinched when the axe was about to strike me.…

In Sir Gawain and the Green Knight, Sir Gawain encounters these peculiar elements. For example, when he slashes towards the naked neck, splashing blood over the floor, the Green Knight miraculously survives. The author wrote, “But [the knight] never faltered or fell for that, but swiftly he started forth upon stout shanks and rushed to reach out his lovely head. And the stranger sat there as steadily in his saddle as a man entirely unharmed” (155-162). In reality, these events are inconceivable.…
