Young Juliet dead, but what made her come to that ultimatum? This is the Juliets story in Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. Juliet is in love with a young man of an opposing family, but she does not want to cause her family and his to have a bigger dispute. Juliet becomes stressed after getting married to Romeo, leading to her final verdict, suicide because of the distress Romeo caused her.
Romeo visits Juliet’s garden leading to love at first sight, if this had not been Juliet wouldn’t have struggled such aganony. If any one finds out about the romance between them it could lead to a larger dispute between their families. Juliet meets Romeo at a party and it was love at first sight. They both soon find out they are from different houses. “His name is Romeo, and a Montague,/The only son of your great enemy” (I.v.134-135). Romeo would have never pursued Juliet and her hand in marriage if he had not been her garden that night, thus he would have never caused caused Juliet agnony if he had not been her garden that night. …show more content…
Later that evening “Come,vial./What if this mixture do not work at all?/Shall I be married then tomorrow morning?”(IV.i.i.i.20-22). Juliet was stressed about marrying Paris and contemplated taking a potion to make her appear lifeless. This potion leads to her death because the note about the plans that was to be delivered to Romeo was never delivered. Instead Romeo sees Juliet presumably dead in the Capulet’s tomb and takes his own life leaving Juliet to take her own life as seen in the lines “O happy dagger!/This is thy sheath; there rust, and let me die”(V.i.i.i.169-170).
