Genesis 1 And 2 Summary

The Book of Genesis chapters 1 and 2 tells us that God created the world by his spoken word. God created the world in 7 days, in which is why we have 7 days in the week. God created the heavens, the earth and everything that lives. He made humankind in his image, and gave them charge over the earth. On Day 1, God created light from the dark chaotic world. God spoke, “Let there be light.” (Genesis 1:3) and there was light. On Day 2, God created the heavens and earths. God divided the atmosphere in two and called them the heaven and the earth. (Genesis 1:6) Day 3, God spoke and made vegetation here on Earth. The water on earth was divided in two, which provided dry and wet land.(Genesis 1:9) On Day 4, the moon , stars, seasons and days was created. (Genesis 1:14) Day 5, Sea creatures and birds in the sky were created and created to reproduce. (Genesis 1:23) Day 6, God made all animals and creatures on land for food. Man was also created. (Genesis 1:27) Man was created to be the dominate creature. Day 7 was created for rest and holy day. God continued to evolve the creation of man and vegetation. The belief from this religion is that there is no existence of God. The creation of the universe came from the Big Bang Theory and Darwinism. According to the Big Bang Theory, the universe was created 13.8 billion years ago starting from a singularity, and eventually expanding into what we know as the universe, galaxies, planets, etc. In regards to evolution, Darwinism is the theory that all species derive from organisms.
