I fight that Dr. Ross' understanding of Beginning 1 is unbiblical and informal. A portion of the reasons why I dismiss his affirmation that the times of creation were long times of a large number of years each and why the creation days must be comprehended as exacting, 24-hour days.
I see that there is no support in the Jewish content of Genesis 1:1-2 to embed at whatever time between those verses. Also, there is no support from whatever other Book of scriptures entry for the time here, and positively not 9.2 billion years. Verse 2 is an incidental …show more content…
This is found in the way that the same jussive type of the Jewish verb is utilized as a part of Beginning 1:6, when the "territory" ("atmosphere") was "made" (Genesis 1:7), and in Genesis 1:14 when the sun, moon and stars were "made" (Genesis 1:16) and "set" in that span (Genesis 1:17). A similar verb shape is utilized when God made the plants on Day Three, the ocean animals and flying animals on Day Five, and the land creatures and man on Day
