I feel at home when I see my dad, because years back he had cancer and the doctor had a slim chance of making. One day my mom came to pick me up from day-care and she was balling her eyes. She wouldn't tell my brother and I. When we got home I saw my dad on the couch, he had a shirt saying he was cancer free. That what makes me feel at home. It shows that the dad is the bug because the bug is not happy and the dad isent happy where he is. When gaston says “Not happily” he was saying that because him and his wife broke up and they had a daughter together and he never sees his daughter and he says to his daughter that they're not happy where they are because they're divorced and he liked it better when they were together they felt happy and they enjoyed life and they were all so happy to see each other. Now since the divorce this is the first time he has seen his daughter and it's the best thing that has happen to him and probably the last time he will see his daughter for along time. Since the divorce nothing has been the same anymore.
One moment in “Gaston” that shows the bug symbolizes the dad when the dad says,“ It's not the same anymore” (Saroyan 128). Gaston says it because he always having troubles doing stuff and nothing the same anymore and that relates to the dad. He saw his daughter everyday . But now since the divorce nothing the same anymore. He doesn't get to see his daughter anymore and has to live somewhere else and and that the reason i think gaston is the dad because gaston is always living in different
