Moreover, the Greens senator Scott Ludlam stated, “It's dangerous and could be exploited." Additionally, a similar approach adopted in the UK in 2011 has failed. Virtual private networks are a simple way to access blocked sites. One consolation is that the copyright changes raised public awareness of piracy (Thomas, Jason, 2015).
Online piracy is a serious crime and we must stop it to protect Australian businesses, Australian government and society.
