College Essay About Welding

Whenever a high school student is on the verge of graduating from high school, they barely start to put time to decide what college they want to go to and what they want to do after graduating from there. Luckily, I found my passion. That passion is welding. After I graduated from North Junior High, my parents wanted me to go to a career fair here in Mission to look at accountants, police officer and all of these other careers that were there but didn’t catch my eye. I was disappointed until I saw this guy showing to a group of teenagers and adults how fusing two pieces of steel is done. This career is not very safe as they work in a very dangerous environment. It’s not very safe as they could get injured as they work with things like electrical currents, heavy parts to lift, and machinery in construction sites and factories which makes it very risky and dangerous to work. To prevent injuries, the best way to avoid that is to learn the safety protocols and rules the business has for you to be safe. For the pay, I say it’s not that good or worth it. It’s not good or worth even doing this job as these workers put their lives on the line to help create the structures of the world around us especially in bad conditions like in very hot weather or in life-risking environment for just the median pay of $39,340 pay. For vacation pay, if an employee who has worked about 1500 in a yearly period is given a 1 week vacation that’s completely paid. But for the injury pay, the workplace will pay the cost for the injured body
