Cat’s and their instincts play a big role in your life and you don’t even realize it. These small creatures are arguably one of the most symbolic and religious animals to ever exist. Practically every religion has a cat involved in it as a symbol which shows they have a huge importance. Felines are very mysterious and unpredictable creatures that are very interesting to learn about and no one can deny that.
There are a lot of stereotypes about cats that aren’t true at all. People say cats aren’t fun and that they only bite and scratch which is why in literature they are depicted as a villain. Researching this topic has taught me so much on how a cat would feel if a new cat came to live with them and how in Ancient Egypt a cat was worshipped more than they are now.
According to TMO, the main idea of their research is about cats in ancient Egypt and religion. In the 7th century, Arabs at the time believed cats were worthy of being worshiped and a symbol. They believed they were pure spirited and would worship a Golden Cat. Arabs had many beliefs about these animals. Many of them were similar to the Egyptians. One of them was that is someone had drinken water from a cat with no impurities, then they will never face harm. Cats were symbolized as a god that helped when someone was in need.
Some rules were made for the Muslim religion. The two of the rules include, cats should not be traded or sold for money and Muslims are free to live with cats as long as they take care of them and provide for their needs. Citizens were only allowed to have cats as pets if they showed they could take care of them and keep them healthy and happy. Many people thought owning a cat could get them closer to the gods and prove they are worthy of a happy afterlife. Overall, TMO says there are many different parts to the Egyptian religion and
