1. Why are you qualified to be an assistant of Chapter Council? Discuss one example of your leadership ability. I am qualified to be an assistant of Chapter Council because I am very invested in kappa and want to be a bigger part of this sorority. I would love to have an assistant position to learn the ropes and hopefully take up a position in chapter council my senior year. I had to take the last semester off due to health concerns and it really made me realize how important it is to me to get more involved and go for the things I really want to do. This sorority has made my college experience so amazing so far, and I hope I get the chance to be more involved in the behind the scenes. My whole life I have been involved in leadership opportunities. On top of that I have incorporated leadership in my everyday life, when it comes to classes, group situations, and social situations. However, I think it shows up the most in my job. I have babysat my whole life but I began working for lifetime fitness in the child center a year ago. Ever since going through recruitment, I have wanted to be a part of the process. I would love to have the opportunity to help the recruitment chair teach PC 2016 to get ready for our Fall 2017 recruitment. As well as whatever else is needed in the behind the scenes to her job. My understanding of this position is that I would be in charge of helping the recruitment chair teach PC 16 on our recruitment process, as well as help her in the behind scenes work such as the outfits, songs to choose and so on. I do realize it is a very big time commitment, but living in the house makes me very close to the meetings, and the recruitment chair, if she ever needed anything.
