One of the many reason why Chinese painting is so recognizable and important is because of the way it is painted. The paintings tell stories; you not only examine the painting but in a sense you read the paintings and enter a form of dialogue with the past. With every stroke of a brush depicts a story to be told beyond the paintings. Viewers experience intimate journeys when gazing upon these paintings. Once certain Chinese painters broke from the tradition of paintings landscapes and starting putting efforts into the goal of creating more personal and meaningful pieces of art, this changed the world of art forever.
