This causes there to be warmer seasons relative to the majority of the world, influencing the way people build their houses as well as the way they live. In many countries, there is a large proportion of people in poverty, and often, these impoverished people are forced to go to great lengths simply to get the resources they and their families need to survive, one of them being water. While water may seem very common an easily accessible, there are many places that do not have the luxury turning to the sink to get water. Instead, they may walk for miles multiple times a week to reach their necessities. Their homes are made to reflect the warmer climate, using materials available that may include bricks, wood, or even dirt or sand to protect themselves from the elements. Although not all places suffer from this result of poverty, it is still very common in many African countries and has impacted the location of towns as well as how people spend their time. Additionally, the pots they may use to hold the water are often created to be comfortably balanced on one's head for long periods of time. African art is especially unique in the way that it is painted, some of which can is derived from centuries-old antiquated paintings. The inspiration from the animals and land can often lead to very creative paintings, one style being animals painted using dots of paint. This style is unique to Africa as it showcases the indigenous wildlife as well as a novel way to create images. The dyes used to create these paints also come from the land and influence the range of colors available due to the limitation of colors that the plants that produce. However, using the materials available to them, they are able to create unique masterpieces that provide great insight about how the people has originally created their paintings and what they saw around them, including the wildlife or land that inspired them or the materials they saw that they could use.
