Fox News had written an article about this situation titled “Eagle Scout: RIP Boy Scouts of America. You were great for 100 years.” Already by the title, Fox News got the timing wrong since when Boy Scouts was created. Boy Scouts was created in January 24,1908 making it 108 years old to this day, not 100. The article however, does have a similar contrast within the actual Boy Scout slogan which they quote “...growing boys into young men, and young men into leaders”(Patten 3). Coming to the topic of inclusion, Robert Patten, the author of this Fox News article started to question why girls need to be in the main program if they already have their own separate program called the Girl Scouts. He also brings up the point that young boys and young girls parents would not be okay with coed camping trips and sleeping arrangements when they hit the adventure portion in Scouts B.S.A.
