Auvriana Novelllo: A Short Story

Improved Essays
Auvriana Novelllo was setting up the desks in her little one room schoolhouse in the country with a brand new notebook and a newly sharpened pencil it wasn 't often that there were one room schoolhouses anymore, but she just now moved away from her parents and their rules to a rural town in Maine that didn 't have a school. Well at least not until now. She thought about how well she would do without her parents being around her all the time. She was her own person, she was 20 after all. As she finished up the last few touches on her classroom she looked around and began to dream about the many things she would do here. She sat down at her very own teachers desk and closed her eyes, she was finally on her own, her schoolhouse was finished, lessons were planned and now all she had to do was wait and dream. A loud bang resonated in her ears she quickly lifted her head to see desks flying papers go all over and a big red truck in the middle of her schoolhouse before she lost consciousness. Isaiah Jacen Seymour more commonly known as Jace groaned. As he lifted his head he felt a little blood trickle down it he wiped it away and realized he was OK other than a major headache and probably a concussion. he stepped out of the truck and looked around. He couldn 't believe what he 'd just done his dad was going to kill him he didn 't even have a license the truck was completely totaled and it looked like the same could be said for the schoolhouse. Jace had done a great deal of foolish things before but he had never done anything close to this. That 's when a board fell from the ceiling and crashed through the windshield of the truck he spun around to see the whole wall of the school in shambles and his truck half way through it he had been mad at his dad and decided to take the truck for a drive when a dog ran out in front of him and well he ended up here. He heard a tiny moan and looked around jumping over a bookcase with papers everywhere he saw her …show more content…
But instead of listening she quickly stood and began looking around " The books.....the desks...... THE WALL......what happened? School 's supposed to start monday that 's 4 days and this place is in shambles!" she said stuttering.
"l 'm sorry it was an accident" he said
She began picking things up saying "school starts in 4 days"
"l 'm sorry to say but it probably won 't be starting in 4 days this will take awhile to fix up..... I 'm really sorry!"
She picked her purse up and said "I 've been working on this for 3 weeks now and just finished the last few touches and now.....now this....." her words faded off into nothingness as she proceeded to leave
Jace just wanted to hide from everything and everyone but instead followed her out saying "look I 'm really sorry..... Please let me drive you home it 's the least I can do.....you fainted and probably have a concussion!"
"I am perfectly capable of driving myself and if you ask me if looks like you aren 't!" she said as she slammed her door and sped

In my generation, individuals are filled with secrets that can haunt us, define us and make us question our loyalty to one another. Does sending them secrets free make you feel free? Does the truth set you free? After watching the movie, The Help by Tate Taylor and seeing what Aibileen Clark went through with Minny Jackson, Eugenia “ Skeeter” Phelan, Hilly Holbrook and few more I have analyzed that she fights for what she believes in. In the movie, The Help, Aibileen is the character that has the most development throughout the movie because at the beginning she was bitter and felt there was nothing else out there for her, but that all changed when she helped spill out the truth in The Help.…

There are several ways in which the people at the mission school, attempted to remake the Omaha boys into white people.
