Even though Mr. Boisjoly 's acts, before the catastrophe happened, to get Thiokol administration to follow up on the O-rings issue, that is not considered whistleblowing. Roger Boisjoly ought to have reached NASA straightforwardly, and by informing them about the O-rings issue, if NASA would have overlooked him since they needed to make the program run smoothly, which they proposed to congress; Boisjoly should have reached congress. I am certain congress would have listened to Roger Boisjoly since congress would not be able to afford to put the life of astronauts and one instructor 's life in risk for the less fortunate result.
