The White Star Line should be held responsible for the Titanic catastrophe. The crew knowingly set sail without enough lifeboats for everyone on the ship. This was a major mistake because even before the Titanic finished sinking, people were already condemned to death at sea. Another issue was the lifeboats weren’t being filled to full capacity. The crew began to lower boats that weren’t even halfway full. Many more lives could’ve been saved if the crew had waited to fill the boats once they were full. Additionally, the White Star Line was in the wrong because they ignored all six ice warnings they received. The ship's crew and line need to be held responsible because of how poorly they handled the situation they had at hand. Ignoring six ice warnings is irresponsible and inappropriate for a prestigious ship like the Titanic. If the crew sailed without enough lifeboats for all the passengers to fit nand didn’t wait until the lifeboats they had were filled, they should be viewed as accountable for the Titanic tragedy.
