This American Life - journalistic approach to people's lives through song, poem, personal tales.
Being Smarter (History)
Sawbones - Martial tour to misguided medicine. I love this husband-wife pair as they address crazy medical techniques with humor and history.
Stuff You Missed in History Class - I hated history class. Mainly because I couldn't memorize all the dates and information long enough to take quizzes and tests. Enter this podcast. I'm a BIG music lover, so when I have to get stuff done around the house and want a little background noise, my initial go-to is to turn on the radio. However, my husband will put his headphones in and tune all the madness in our house out as he does the dishes listening to his favorite podcasts. During exercise
While washing or putting away dishes
While cleaning
While doing yard work or gardening
