She is thankfull and greatfull of every tool that she uses when reading, writing or thinking. In her poem which she wrote in 2001, The Company Of Words, she is trying to reveal to people that anything in your body, you can use it to your own benefit. Not only talking about the beauty of poetry, but on the other side she consider respect, faith and hard work. How should we respect our parents and what they tell us, because our elders know the journey of life better than we know it. If they tell us that respect can open doors for us, it is what it is, we just have to obey and have faith and also work har to earn all of thar. That is what basically her poem, Armed For Success speaks about.
The Dancer written in 2006 focuses on her life, that she grew up without her mother to guide her. Her mother died during the aparthied era, and people kept on telling her that about her mother, how she was, how she danced and that even Gcina Mhlophe as Mrs Mhlophe daugter, she has those similarities to her mother when she is dancing.
