Firstly, I added the Union Jack as a faded full flag. I added it as without the United Kingdom, Canada would not exist in the form it does today. As it is today however, Canada lives without leadership from the United Kingdom, but they still are connected through the British Commonwealth. The Canadians I found the Union Jack significant enough to have it fill the entire flag, but keep it as a fade to prioritize the Canadian aspect of the Canadian flag. Secondly, I added the two known Aboriginal flags as they are the original inhabitants of Canada. The blue infinity flag is the Metis flag, originally used by Metis resistance fighters. It was later adapted by the general Metis people shortly later. The altered Canadian flag is the more recent version of the Aboriginal flag, created by Curtis Wilson. I put these two flags in the bottom of the center part of the Union Jack, which I used as the area to place the most important items relative towards me, and towards what we are learning in Social Studies. Thirdly, I used the symbol of healthcare to resemble the fact that one of the most speaked about ideals of Canada is the free healthcare. While the fact that healthcare is not truly free, it is still much less expensive than the healthcare of the United States, and…
How often in your everyday life use the penny? The United States government is debating on whether they should continue making pennies or if they should lay it to rest. Many people believe the penny should stay while others think it should be abolished. I believe the penny should not continue to be manufactured because they cost too much, they take up too much space, and the penny isn’t worth enough to keep. I believe the penny should be eliminated because it costs too much. Each penny…
Villarreal Prof. Matlock English 1302 12 August 2015 Gold Standard Gold has been admired and criticized throughout the centuries. There has been many unimaginable commodities like stones, pottery, tobacco, and after many errors of the wrong one, human kind embraced Gold. People did not randomly adopt Gold; it was rare, dense, shiny and easily identifiable. Even nowadays all people go crazy for a piece of gold, and would even kill. The gold standard would open up opportunities for the…
The penny has been around for over 200 years and has made it through history as the one cent coin. Over time it has a limited use and most of the time it is laying around lose in people’s pockets. Many people feel that the penny is necessary for keepsake purposes and to honor Abraham Lincoln. The Penny has had its highs and lows throughout its existence, but the single cent value seems to be lost in people's wallets and purses. The penny should be abolished because it is impractical in everyday…
One reason is that no one wants their taxes to go up. If the rich is in office their object is to target the little man in which most will agree is wrong. Why take from people who already have so little. On the other hand, if the poor is in office their target is to take from the rich. It seems only right to take from a class that most likely won't even feel the difference, in which everyone will be progressing. No man will be left behind. One day I was told a story on how a man ate at a diner…
domestic market, global issues, and focusing too heavily on one competitor. At the time the Japanese (YEN) was depreciating…

Should the minimum wage be raised to fifteen dollars an hour? There is a good amount of people that think that this is a good idea when it is actually a bad idea. First, the raise of the minimum wage to fifteen dollars would be a higher wage than some people make with an education. If minimum wage raises, then all wages would increase accordingly. Also, the price of merchandise would be raised on everything to make up for the raise in minimum wage. Moreover, companies would cut jobs and find…
