What was to be the purpose of the National Bank? What particular functions would it perform?

The purpose of the National Bank was to control the debt in which America was in because of the Revolutionary War.

The Whiskey Rebellion was a taxed imposed on whiskey, in 1794 by the government.

How would you have voted on funding,assumptions, the National Bank, and protective tariffs in Hamilton's program?

Funding- Was to pay back current bond holders everything they owed and interest included. It was also to tie wealthy investors to the government.


Assumptions- Government would pay all the debts they owed from the American Revolution. They would do this by placing taxes.


National Bank- Control the debt in which America was in because of the American Revolution


Protective tariffs- Protected domestic industries from foreign competition

The Kentucky and Virginia Resolutions were documents that were in favor of the states’ rights.


The Virginia Resolution was like Kentucky's but slightly less severe. These documents were a great form of the states’ rights view. The documents opposed the Alien and Sedition acts, which extended powers to the federal government.

Very early in its national history, the United States established a tradition of isolationism in its foreign policy. How did the Neutrality Proclamation and Washington’s Farewell Adress contribute to this tradition?

George Washington avoided wars all together which is why isolationism became a tradition.

Jay’s Treaty was a treaty between America and Britain that solved many issues left from the American Revolution

John Adam’s pride was justified because the French had charged Adams $250,000 to talk to the prime minister.
