- 2 vacuum pumps for heading and attitude indicators
- normal range 4.5 - 5.5 inches of mercury - system runs (2 pumps - 2 pressure switches(mesure vacuum) - vacuum relief valve - air filter - instruments - vacuum gauge - low vacuum annunciator light panel |
Describe the landing gear ?
- fixed tri-cycle type gear
- shock absorbers tubular spring type on main gears and oil/air strut on nose gear. - Nose wheel steerable threw 30 degrees each side - Nose has shimmy damper for no vibration - differential braking |
Describe brake system?
- Main gears have hydraulic single disc type brakes.
- controlled by master cylinder attached to each rudder pedal. |
Describe flaps?
- single slotted
- electrical motor in right wing - 0, 10, 20, 30 |
Describe the fuel system?
- 2 Vented tanks in each wing / gravity fed
- 28 gal each wing / 56 total - 3 gal un-usable - 53 gal usable - 5 sumps under each wing - 3 sumps under engine cowling - 1 vent left wing and one in each fuel cap |
How does the fuel system work ?
-Fuel is gravity fed from wing tanks to the fuel selector valve labeled BOTH, RIGHT, and LEFT.
- Then to a reservoir tank. - From the reservoir tank the fuel flows to an electrically driven auxiliary fuel pump, past the fuel shutoff valve, through the strainer and to an engine driven fuel pump. - Fuel is then delivered to the fuel air control unit and then the cylinders. |
What is auxiliary pump used for ?
- Engine priming
- cold starts |
Describe electrical system ?
- 28 volt DC system
- 24 volt / 35 amp hour battery - 60 amp alternator supplies energy -2 primaries busses - Each primary has an Electrical bus and a Avionics bus |
Envier-mental system ?
- Cabin heat is provided by air ducted through the exhaust shroud and into the cabin and is controlled by a knob on the instrument panel.
