There are no harsh or weird rules about how a manager should address the behavior or performance issues in the laboratory. However; as the manager of Happy Land Lab, I must always be fair and make sure that the employee is notified about her issues and is given a chance to change the situation before I decide the termination is the only solution. It seems that Donna is late, rude and makes mistakes and errors in her performance so she is demonstrating issues in all three categories of attendance, conduct and performance at work. It is obvious that she requires a thoughtful action plan detailing what steps she must take to meet the laboratory’s attendance and behavioural standards and a performance improvement plan that trains her to improve her productivity at work. In counselling, relationships are very important. These relationships between the counsellor and the client are determined by the time and effort we put into developing and maintaining this relationship. In a way, a counsellor is a friend, but a friend who has the experience and the ability to apply different skills to assist people to solve their own problem instead of providing them with a solution. Self-evaluation is very useful to identify the strengths and weaknesses of these skills. The purpose of my self-evaluation is to reflect upon the used/unused skills which I applied by identifying areas where they have been used successfully and others that needs improvement.…
