In a Japanese restaurant in New York, every person was guilty of having their phone out. The same thing happened at multiple other places. Individuals are constantly being distracted by their phones, resisting temptations. Martha Lane Fox believes that everyone should be nudged towards technology usage. She is pushing those who simply steer away from technology to start to use it. However, there is hope for those who are attached to their cell phones. By slowly easing ourselves off the technology or perhaps trying offline sabbaths could reduce attachment to cell phones. Children are greatly affected by all the technology. Analysis: In my opinion, I do not believe that the article, “Your Phone is Ruining Your Life” completely achieved its goals. This article did express good points about phone usage but did not go into much depth. The author could have added more reasonings as to why people get caught up in their phones. I did agree that people should use technology but only use it in moderation. Technology can be very helpful in many ways, such as communicating or just simply checking the weather. It would be ashamed to not use the technology that has been created and advanced, we can not let it just go to waste.
