Writing Skills In High School Essay

Woo! This writing class was a little bit easier than I had expected. I thought it was going to be stressful and have us doing essays back to back. Glad we didn’t have to do that, am I right, think about it less stress for the professor. My high school English teachers enforced all the writing skills on us, our school was sort of a college prep type. Everything they told us about college they made it seem extremely hard, especially when it came to writing. So, entering college writing not knowing what to expect, other than what I’ve heard in the past. Professor Lynn is most likely to be the best teacher I’ve had now, being that she’s so chill and laid back but not too much. Not so strict, where the students don’t like her. When we finally came into the class, I was thinking “I hope she is not strict, mean, and boring” I was literally praying about it. Of course, you know she talked about the rules she has for the class, assignments, late assignments, absent work, etc. just the basics that every professor goes through. In high school though I did play around too much to where I was just okay with getting C’s on my papers. Honestly, I knew I could do better than that, it was just I was stressed out all the time. Now that I am in college, I don’t want any paper that has a C on it, the lowest I will except on a paper is a B. I still got to work on my punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, etc. everyone should to be the best. Having others edit your paper is good to improve your writing, getting feedback is the best way because the mistakes made or ideas that weren’t there someone else could help.
