Firstly, the wage gap between genders is not only just an issue of ethics, but of blatant inequality. In an age rife with claims of false equality, of which are preached upon by those in power and consumed by the masses, it is no surprise that many have forgotten the actuality of a wage barrier between men and women. Since, Hispanic women are both the least likely to get a high school diploma or a college degree, they often are restricted from higher paying jobs, because they don’t have the formal training required in many fields. They are in a greater disadvantage in the fields that they can work in, because even within those markets white women get paid more for the same work. African-American women have an eight percent greater chance of the getting a bachelors degree, plus they have a 9.9% greater median income than Hispanic women, and proportionally are 9.1% more likely to work in higher paying management or related professional fields.
