Wolf by Wolf is a novel about a Jewish girl called Yael and her journey to make the world a better place. This novel is set in a time where Hitler has won the war.
Yael is crammed on a train on her way to the concentration camp, she is scared, but has no idea where she is going or what she is doing there. When Yael gets to the camp people are getting herded and sorted into different categories, females, males. And then into, instant deaths and experiments. Yael gets chosen to be the doctors’ special experiment/treatment.
At the beginning to the book Yael is very young and innocent, she follows all the rules and doesn’t think anything bad about the doctor or his intensions.
The special treatment that the doctor was giving Yael, was he would inject chemicals to remove the melanin in her skin, eyes and hair to make her a pure Aryan, pale skin, blue eyes, blonde hair. …show more content…
As Yaels’ treatment continues Yael gets encouragement from her fellow Barrack members to help her through all the chemicals that are getting pushed through her skin. Her main supported is the babushka, she tells Yael she is special and she can change thing and make things better, the babushka also gives Yael a nickname that means ‘she-wolf’. Later when the babushka is cruelly killed Yael has to rise above all the negatives that have happened to her and continue her journey to make the world a better
