Considering this, with his hopeful dreams, not transpiring as planned, he could hardly manage the unpredicted changes in his life. Additionally, he hides his anxiety with extreme self-importance that leads to the many mistakes he caused throughout the play. For instance, in the film Death of a Salesman 1985, he begins to lose trust for his older son Biff when he figured out that his father was having a secret incident. Even when Biff sees the mistress Biff became upset with his father and Willy tried to explain to him, instead of taking the responsibility of the affair saying she came to shower because they were painting in her room. Biff was so angry that he screamed and threw his father to the floor, because of the incident that he just saw.
