Why I Want To Become An Outstanding Educator

The most important aspects of an outstanding educator include a combination of passion for students, for the subject
matter being taught, and for striving for excellence both inside and outside of the classroom. The elements of an outstanding 
educator can only come from dedication and a significant amount of hard work. Teaching is an incredibly rewarding, but also 
incredibly difficult career path.
 Although the path of an educator is difficult, a passionate teacher will see the rewards that come with it. Outstanding educators are those who have genuine passion and love for the students in the classroom. Even though the formal title is "teacher" or "educator", the role involves being so much more than that. An outstanding educator often acts …show more content…
More importantly, I remember how it made me feel to know that my instructors value myself and my peers enough to want to better themselves on our behalf. It made me as a student want to give as much effort as I could, as I knew that my teachers were doing the same for me. As I move forward in my own career as an educator, I hope that my students will also know that every effort that I give is to become a better teacher for them. In the music education field, there are so many workshops on teaching methods, composition and improvisation, movement in music, and so many more. I plan to participate in as many of these as I am able to, even if I am not required to do so.
 Involvement in workshops and continuing study in a subject area not only provides the educator with more information to deliver to the students, but also reignites more excitement that can also be shared with the students. Educators have to continuously demonstrate passion and excitement about the subject that he or she is teaching. It does not matter what subject is being taught; there will always be some students who lack interest. An outstanding educator will show the students why the subject is important and demonstrate the ways in which it has been influential in his or her own
