A person with a cold can spread the infection by coughing and/or sneezing. Bacteria or viruses can be passed on by touching or shaking hands with another person. Touching food with dirty hands will also allow viruses or bacteria from the intestine to spread. Water bacteria needs water to dissolve the food they use for energy and growth. Energy sources such as sugars, starch, protein, fats and other compounds provide the nutrients. Oxygen some bacteria require oxygen to grow (anaerobes)
5 Things bacteria needs to grow:
Temperature
Protein
Available Water
PH
Oxygen
Time.
Some bacteria degrade organic compounds for energy, and without bacteria, the earth would have no soil in which to grow plants. Bacteria living in the gut can help
