You have a cold sore that bums you out! What should and shouldn't you do now? First of all, you need to know that a cold sore is caused by the herpes virus and that there's fluid in the blisters. A cold sore can be annoying and painful, but is hardly ever harmful. The herpes virus will remain forever in your body though, and can get reactivated at a later time. You take the hydrogen peroxide, you place it in your mouth, swish around with it, gargle with it, just make sure you do not ingest it whatsoever then you spit it out. Then brush and floss your teeth as you normally would. Then you can, another way is you can get baking soda and water, half and half, and make a mixture almost like a paste consistency. You place the consistency, the paste on the actual cold sore, let it sit there for about one to two minutes or until it starts to dissolve. Once then what you would do is just rinse your mouth out and the extra residue that's left from the baking soda and then spit it out and then brush and floss your teeth as
