There are very few events in history that everyone remembers where they were, and what they were doing when they heard the news. 9/11 is the most recent of these events. Thousands of americans dead, the twin towers gone, the country was in shock. 9/11 is one worst attacks in american history. What is even more horrible than this is the fact that some people believe that the government played a part in the attacks. The government is not responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks because, they would not be willing to cripple themselves, they would not waste money fighting a war overseas, and steel beams do not need to melt to be structurally compromised.

The damage to the pentagon was substantially less than the damage to any of the other buildings because it was built different. The pentagon is a concrete structure and it is much lower to the ground is a lot wider so the damage was limited to only one side of the pentagon. It was now clear, the United States were under attack. Not long after the pentagon was hit a fourth plane crashed down in Pennsylvania. That plane was heading for the white house. But the brave men and women aboard that flight voted and chose to take the plane back from the terrorists. When they tried to take the plane back they lost control of the plane and it crashed. Those men and women would be the first to die in the war on terror. They also saved countless lives in the white house.
The death tolls from these attacks were almost to much for the country to bear. According to The Official 9/11 Report (2004) one-hundred-and-twenty-five people died in the pentagon, two-hundred-and-fifty-six people died on all four of the plane crashes, more than two-thousand-six-hundred people died in the world trade center, and 412 resque workers died. That is more than three times the population of Moorcroft. Every death was mourned by every
