The Walt Disney Company was founded on October 16, 1923 in California by Walt Disney and his brother Roy O. Disney. The company was originally started as an animation studio and named The Disney Brothers Company. At present time, the company is composed of four main business units which are divided into more specialized segments or divisions. The four primary business units are: Studio Entertainment where the main business unit is The Walt Disney Studios, Parks and Resorts, Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media and Media Networks.
The Walt Disney Studios is the main unit of Studio Entertainment business unit. It was established in the very beginning of Walt Disney Company’s history on October 16, 1923 as its animation studio. This
