When investing there are certain decisions a person must make that requires research. The most two important decisions are which stock to invest in and which broker to use. The stock a person chooses must fit into the person goal. The goal of investing can either be to make a quick huge profit or to have a steady increase over time. For this assignment I will be investing in Walt Disney. I choose to invest in to Walt Disney mainly because the company has been successful for decades. The Walt Disney Company was founded in 1923 by Walt Disney and Roy Disney. Throughout time Walt Disney Co. has diversified into one of the most powerful international family entertainment and media enterprises. For this assignment, I choose the online broker TradeKing to purchase my stocks. TradeKing is one of the highly recommended and sought out online brokerages out. When purchasing with TradeKing a person will find that there are certain fees that must be paid. The first transaction fee is the initial $4.95 for all stock trades. The second fee would be the $0.11 for the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) fee. The last fee would be the $5.95 for Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) transaction fee (TAF). All together I would be paying a total of $30,011.01 to purchase 265 shares of Walt Disney Co. After my purchase I will have a total of $34,988.99 let from the original $95,000. When selling my stock the price of dropped to $112.58 a share. At $112.58 a share, my 265 shares of Walt Disney Co. would have a value of $29,833.70. After paying the fees required to sell my stock, I would have lost a total of $166.30. Although I suffered a small lost during this time frame, I still believe that the Walt Disney Co. stock is a good stock to invest in. It is very difficult for a person to receive a significant profit on a stock over a short amount of time. Usually a person will invest in a stock and wait a certain period of time before selling the
