The creation myths of virgo is another piece of information I know from previous research. Virgo is associated with a few different Greek and Roman myths of different goddesses. She is sometimes considered to be the goddess of wheat and agriculture (Demeter-Ceres). Virgo is also associated with Erigone, the daughter of the slain shepherd Icarius, who hanged herself. Her name was Virginia and her looked as if it was made of corn silk. She was the only daughter of a humble wheat farmer and his wife. Everyone who knew Virginia considered her to have the purest of hearts.
One day a young boy was caught stealing some apples from the town market and was set to be punished severely for the act. Virginia was witness to the stealing of the apples and, out of everyone in the market place, she was the only one who felt the the boy deserved a second chance. She pleaded with the leaders of the town, asking them to let the boy explain and told the leaders that she felt it in her heart that the boy meant no malice in stealing the apples.
The leaders, who knew she had the purest of hearts, gave the young boy a chance to explain. He told the leaders that his family had no money; his father had died in a battle and his mother had to take care of his younger siblings.
