I knew the moment word had reached me that Hunter was snatched up by Paulette Hensley that things were going to go bad for me. Oh, how I wish I wasn’t right, but I found myself in the back of a limo between two large men and a folder placed in my lap by Ms. Hensley herself. Not only did Hunter hit a hornet’s nest with a baseball bat, the queen came out to deal with him personally. I knew some of the things I had done that were wrong, but after she and her lawyers twisted everything around, I would be on death row before the week was out. I guess what I had heard about the last guy who dated her was true. Not only did his wealthy family lose everything, he had ended up in jail on kidnapping charges. Even a fool knew it isn’t kidnapping …show more content…

Jessica Risner Heather Ward English 1101-41 October 5, 2015 “Love You Forever” Literary Analysis One of my favorite stories to read to my daughter is “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch. The story is about a mother who sneaks into her son’s room, once he is sleeping, and sings a song to him. She sings to him these words “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be (pg. 14).” My favorite part about this story is that once her son is a teenager, and even a grown adult, she still sneaks into his room and sings her song to him.…

“You’ll never leave” is carved faintly into the brick wall of the small jail cell, probably from its last guest. Every day, I started to believe the phrase more and more. I lay on the uncomfortable cot, pretending to be asleep. I’m lonely, but I’m not alone. I can hear him breathing and slowly flipping the pages of the newspaper; I assume it’s…

In “The Sun Also Rises” Hemingway introduces his novel with two quotes. The first is a quote from Gertrude Stein, a painter, poet, who was at the center of the social scene of American expatriates in the 1920s Paris. She identifies that Hemingway’s is “lost generation.” This term characterizes the emotional, moral and in many cases physical emptiness of the post-WWI generation, that witnessed the bloodiest and deadliest times known to man, to this point in history. This “lost generation” sought comfort in the decadent, carefree times of the roaring 1920s where alcohol was at the epicenter.…

“The Women in Poe 's Life” After extensive research on Edgar Allan Poe, I discovered that he had many women, alongside his lovers he was married once and engaged to one other woman before his death, I will do a personal analysis of all of his experiences with women to come to a conclusion as to whether or not his relationships with women affected his works. Poe was born in Boston Massachusetts on January 19, 1809 to Eliza Poe and David Poe. Elizabeth Arnold Poe, Edgar Allan Poe 's mother, was 18 during her first marriage and six months later she was widowed. In 1806 she married David Poe, Edgar 's father. She was on stage up to ten days before Edgar was born and as early as three weeks later she was back to performing.…
