Even in home restrooms, one goes out of their way to hide the actions done in the space. In the bigger, community scale many people’s interactions with public restrooms are anxiety-inducing— restaurants, malls, and offices all provide more anonymity, but still invokes nervousness and fear. On a much larger scale, many third world countries don’t have the access to toilets (either public or private.) According to UNICEF in India, about half the population defecates in public open roads and land. Public restrooms in cities have become less and less common, for the …show more content…
A highly satirical piece, the premise involves a near distant future, in which because of a water drought and subsequent water shortages, private restrooms have been outlawed. A corporation titled the Urine Good Company takes over and manages the water supply through charging people for urinating in public restrooms. For instance, when I visited Reading Terminal on Wednesday November 23, I witnessed people individuals disrespecting the public space. A group of High School students, about 15 or so, staked claim over a large section of tables. They were no longer eating anything, and saw individuals with food desperately attempting to find a seat within the very limited space designed for eating. When they did leave, they left their trash and spilled drinks all over their tables, making it inhospitable for others. However, myself and other patrons took it upon ourselves to clean up their mess.…

A healthy habit to keep themselves and others safe is to wash your hands after using the bathroom. Well, studies show that most janitors stop refilling soap dispensers, because how easy and quick it is to get into them and soil the batch of soap for that day. If students do not know about this, a trickle effect occurs, leaving many peoples with a higher chance of getting sick or infected. This can also lead to having to stay home and miss a day of education students desperately need. Healthy bathrooms at Surprise Lake are necessary for every student to have an equal chance at becoming smarter, more civilized…

I don’t believe that any town should just give up and die. Smaller towns tend to have less to work with but that’s no excuse for allowing their city to fall into ruins. Community leaders and members have to realize that growth doesn’t just happen magically, it must be worked for. Community leaders have to research and find brokers and economic developers to help their town to grow and flourish. This allows those brokers and developers to grow their assets and the community to grow in ways they could of never imagined.…

I think Iqbal was killed out of fear by the people who were all for child labor. Iqbal was feared by the masters and the Carpet Mafia because Iqbal was taking the children away from the people, causing them to lose lots of money. Another reason I think Iqbal was killed is because when Iqbal made speeches and stood up to child labor, the Masters and Carpet Mafias knew that if the police found out, then all the children would be taken away, and the master could go to jail for committing the crime of child labor. The Carpet Mafia feared that Iqbal or the police would take all the children and end child labor for people.…
