Imagine, going back to the late 1900’s and early 2000’s. It is a time where two superstars, in two different sports, are taking over the sports industry. They are getting the sport more known and recognized throughout the world. I have looked up to these two men ever since I saw them play or heard about them. They inspired me to play sports at a young age. Eldrick Tont Woods and Michael Jeffrey Jordan are the people I look up to and admire. Eldrick Woods or better known as “Tiger Woods” is a professional golfer who plays on the PGA tour. He is among the most successful golfers of all time. Shockingly, he was cut from the varsity basketball team in his high school days when he tried out. He was only a sophomore at the time, and was determined to work harder. The rest of his high school career was history. He averaged twenty points a game and his senior year he was selected to the McDonald’s All-American Team after averaging a triple double. Which were 29.2 points, 11.6 rebounds, and 10.1 assists. He only got better after high school, he went to college in North Carolina and played basketball there and excelled tremendously. He left college to go play in the NBA of the third pick in the draft. The Chicago Bulls selected him and he was a perfect fit for the team. He was the only other player besides Wilt Chamberlain to score 3,000 points in a season. He has around eighty-five awards just in the NBA, along with 32,292 points, 6,672 rebounds, and 5,633 assists throughout his career. Throughout the 1990’s the Bulls had one of the best teams in the NBA. They won six NBA Championships throughout ten years. Which is very impressive and Jordan led them to these wins along with the help of Scottie Pippen and John Paxton. He had an unbelievable career and when he announced his retirement in 1998 with the Bulls the fans were devastated and sad to see him go but knew he left a great
