A movie entitled The Godfather is chosen as object in this analysis. Don Corleone as one of main character chosen as source data. Regarding utterance from Don Corleone this movie presents a numbered of presupposition in various context. Then relation between presupposition and context obtains a certain meaning of an utterance. As considering, statement from Stalnaker who said that context influences content, while content can creates a context because sometimes word that say has a function not just meaning of an expression. If so, types of presupposition are involved in shaping context. As Yule said, there are six types of presupposition known as potential presupposition, where sometimes a verb or part of language structure clarified the function or meaning of the presupposition in a sentence or utterance. Nevertheless, this analysis still focus at presupposition based on pragmatics principles where people rather than sentence who delivered the massage. In order to obtained a deep analysis, the writer employ three major theories they are pragmatics, context, and presupposition. Their combination revealed speaker presupposition, meaning, context, also function of using a word as mind expression such in following discussion. Considered utterance ‘I want you to leave it all to me’ impressed his willingness to help Johny. The word ‘it’ in Don Corleone’s utterance refers to ‘all this nonsense’ that means bad things for Johny in previous utterance. Then context that found in the dialogue was Don Corleone’s sincerity to help Johny get what he want. In other word for this time utterance is formed the context.
