We also witness the power of prayer in the Bible, when Elijah prayed for no rain, and it did not rain for three and half years. I have experienced the power of prayer when I was praying with my church people, for my Dad. It was only because of our faith and prayers that my father received a new life. Elijah had the faith with which he prayed and we see that in 1 Kings 17:22, when Elijah revives the widow’s son. When Elijah cried out to the Lord. “O Lord my God, he prayed for the widow’s son then he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried out to the Lord, “O lord my God, let the child’s life come into him again. “The Lord listened to the voice of Elijah; the life of the child came into him again, and he revived.” Our God never put us down. Matthew 17:20 states “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” This shows that we need to pray with faith and God will provide us with …show more content…

Life is full of suspense we don’t know what is going to happen the next moment but only if we live a disciplined life in Jesus Christ he will take care of us in all the difficult situation. The social justice tradition, we learn that care for the people, we should respect poor, and under the reign of God’s shalom the poor are no longer oppressed, because ravaging greed no longer rules. Our Lord is known for Justice. We should respect each other.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” Even in small group we learn about respecting each other in Christ, praying for all our brothers and sisters so that when we follow the path of truth we don’t face any difficulties. Catholics cannot be good at prayer. The reason that a Catholic cannot be good at prayer is that prayer is not a competition for God’s assistance. As we learned, prayer is a way for Christians to open themselves up to be transformed into an interpretation of God. It can also be said that prayer opens one to God’s love. This notion of obtaining God’s love is important because God’s love is not dependent on how much you pray or how dedicated you are in the religion.…
